*New York Times bestselling author Emma Chase returns with a sweet and sexy romantic comedy.*
Princess Lenora Celeste Beatrice Arabella Pembrook had an unusual childhood. She was raised to be a Queenβthe first Queen of Wessco.
Itβs a big deal.
When sheβs crowned at just nineteen, the beautiful young monarch is prepared to rule. Sheβs charming, clever, confident and cunning.
What she isnβtβ¦is married.
Itβs her advising councilβs first priority. Itβs what Parliament is demanding, and what her people want.
Lenora has no desire to tie herself to a manβparticularly one who only wants her for her crown. But compromises must be made and royals must do their duty.
Even Queens. Especially them. ** Years ago, Edward Langdon Richard Dorian Rourke, walked away from his title and country. Now heβs an adventurerβclimbing mountains, exploring jungles, going wherever he wants, when he wantsβuntil family devotion brings him home.
And a sacred promise keeps him there.
To Edward, the haughty, guarded little Queen is intriguing, infuriatingβ¦and utterly captivating. Wanting her just might drive him madβor become his greatest adventure. ** Within the cold, stone walls of the royal palaceβmistrust threatens, wills clash, and an undeniable, passionate love will change the future of the monarchy forever.
Every dynasty has a beginning. Every legend starts with a story.
This is theirs.
"If you've enjoyed watching The Crown then you are going to go wild for this times about a thousand. All of the mid-twentieth century royal flavored atmosphere, along with as much sweet and sensuous emotion and drama, you could ask for. The whole series has been nothing short of delightful. And hot. Royally hot." -Kylie Scott, New York Times bestselling author of It Seemed Like A Good Idea at the Time
"This was a lovely read. Lenoraβs loneliness radiated off the pages. Edwardβs arrival saved both Lenora and me. It was a touching, sexy, beautiful romance. I feel fortunate to have read it." βJen Frederick, New York Times bestselling author of Be Mine
"With all the timeless enchantment of a modern fairy tale, Emma Chase weaves a delightfully romantic royal affair that took my breath away. Long Live Queen Lenora!β βNatasha is a Book Junkie blog
βSomething about Emma Chaseβs writing creates a hungry hole inside me and sucks all of me in. Lenny and Edward are two people with extraordinary lives who find the gift of normalcy in the way they are able to love each other, and it's a beautiful thing. I teared up, smiled widely and did not want to return to real life.β βSonali Dev, author of A Distant Heart

I really enjoyed this installment in the Royally series.Β Queen Lenora was such a hard-ass to her grandsons, but it was a special treat to be able to look back and what made Lenora who she was.
Being a princess and the heir to a country did not afford Lenora the kind of childhood others had, including her sister.Β She lived by societal and courtly rules, kingdom laws and knowing that everyone is looking for a weakness to use against her.Β Lenora didn’t have much, but she had a best friend in Thomas who gave Lenora what she was missing from her family:Β unconditional love, adventure and understanding.Β But when her world falls apart, it’s Thomas’ older brother Edward who becomes the rock she needs.
I loved Lenora and Edward together.Β Even though she saw their relationship as an arrangement, it became clear very quickly this was absolutely a love match.Β They made each other laugh, knew there was unconditional support, even when no one else supported them.Β Lenora’s steel will and backbone often made an appearance, but Edward softened that.
Another great read by Emma Chase.Β This may not have all the laughter and banter we’re used to reading, but this was an awesome addition to an already favorite series.
