Reluctant witch Eden Riley knows that codependent relationships aren’t good, especially when you’re possessed by a sexy but troublemaking demon. Darrak’s physical form makes good girl Eden want to go bad, but the constant itch to use the soul-destroying black magic she’s recently acquired might force Eden to explore her dark side in an entirely different way. And when her magic starts manifesting itself without conscious effort, both Eden’s life and the possibility of a future with Darrak are threatened-since only one of them might be able to survive this…

Eden and Darrak find themselves in a bit of a quandary. Eden’s black magic, which she now has after sleeping with Darrak who was cursed with a sex spell, is starting to become unmanageable for her. Proof to her lack of control is the ever darkening color of her amulet and her crispy fried blackberry.
Darrack wants to find a way to stop Eden’s black magic from growing, while breaking the curse that caused him to possess Eden in the first place. But these pesky feelings he has for Eden keep getting in the way.
And as if those issues weren’t big enough, Lucas (aka Lucifer) is up to something and Darrak can’t figure out what it is, but he knows it involves Eden.
The last installment in the Living in Eden series doesn’t disappoint. Darrak isn’t quite as sarcastic and demonic as he was in the previous two, but I guess that’s to be expected when the goodness you’ve been soaking up from your girlfriend takes hold of you…that and realizing you’re in love and blurting it to find that maybe the love of your life doesn’t feel the same.
Eden, already overwhelmed with everything that is going on her life, doesn’t even want to think about Darrak’s profession of love until they’ve resolved all their other issues (those being his curse and her black magic) but when faced with no longer having Darrak with her, she discovers she can’t be without him and makes a deal with the devil to get him back.
The remaining storylines that have floated throughout the other books are nicely done up. We find out if Andy is a werewolf. Ben, who often floats between the lines of “I hate him” and “he’s just confused” somewhat redeems himself, but only after making a huge mistake that almost costs Eden everything. And finally the Malleus (or at least those running it) get theirs in the end.
It’s a cute, enjoyable end to Living with Eden with our sexy, sarcastic demon getting his happily ever after with his favorite angel.
