Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Gabriella, Β Darron, Β Monte, Β and Flora are ready to have the best
years of their lives. Β They are graduating from highschool and looking
at their future and leaving the past behind. Β They bound Richards
powers and thought the dark side was over. Β Everything changes when
Gabriella meets her aunt Donna and cousin Meranda. Β They came to ask
for help in locating Destiny, Β a catatonic witch whose powerful
uncontrollable powers were bound. Β The dark coven wishes to unleash
the power of Destiny and take over the world.
We are introduced to a few new characters in this 2nd book. Β Donna is
the long lost aunt of Gabriella. Β She has been trying to keep her
daughters safe from the dark coven for years. Β Only when her daughter
is taken do we meet Donna.
Meranda is Donna’s daughter. Β Her character is a bit snobby and cruel.
Only towards the end of the book do we find out her true personality.
Trevor is a witch in love with Destiny. Β He plays as a shady character
leaving us wonder if he is good or bad.
Destiny is a catatonic witch. Β She has never spoken a word. Β Her
powers were bound when she was very young. Β She is believed to be
evil.
Destiny Unveiled is a page turner that once you start cant be put
down. Β It is a classic tale of good verses evil. Β It shows how easy it
is for anyone, Β even a mortal can subcum to the dark side. Β You will
find yourself laughing at some of the scenes, Β crying during the
emotional ones and wondering who is good and who is evil. Β I honestly
could not figure out what was going to happen next. Β The ending was
left open so we may or may not expect a 3rd, only Laura knows what’s
next!
If you have not read the first book Destiny I would suggest that you
read them in order. Β Destiny introduces you to the characters and
their personalities. Β The second book Destiny Unveiled does some
flashbacks to the first book too. Β And it gives us a deeper insight
into Gabriella and Darrons family. However Laura DeLuca does a good
job off briefly updating her characters in the first few chapters,
and describing the flashbacks that Destiny Unveiled could be a stand
alone book.
I loved Destiny Unveiled and honestly found it to be a little bit more
enjoyable then the first. Β I loved the artwork of the cover and its
hidden meaning.

Overall I give it a 5 out of 5 cocktails
