In a sparkling new series filled with irresistible charm and sizzling romance, award-winning author Isabella Bradford introduces us to the eldest of three Wylder sisters—unruly country girls whose passion for life leaves their London suitors breathless.

Raised in the Dorset countryside, Lady Charlotte Wylder doesn’t care one bit about well-bred decorum. The dark-haired, blue-eyed beauty would rather ride a horse than attend a stuffy ball. So when Charlotte learns that she is to leave immediately for London to wed the Duke of Marchbourne, a perfect model of aristocratic propriety, she is less than enchanted with her arranged marriage.

But to her delight, their first encounters are brazenly flirtatious, and their wedding night burns with passion. March’s broad shoulders and dark countenance make Charlotte want to rip every button off his waistcoast. She may even be falling in love with her new husband. Yet whenever their desire boils over, March reluctantly pushes Charlotte away. Will past secrets and present misunderstandings mire their marriage in scandal, or serve to strengthen a bond that is destined to last a lifetime?

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Charlotte, Grew up in the country with her mother and two younger sisters. Not really having much contact with other people other then her family and the servants that worked on her family’s estate. Charlotte is free spirited.

March, Came into his dukedom quite young. Taking all the responsibility given to from the title quite seriously. March used his arranged engagement with Charlotte, to keep women and their match making mamas away from him.

When Charlotte finds out she is engaged to March she finds it quite shocking, not quite believing when is told.

I found it kinda weird that Charlotte’s mother was waiting to the last minute to tell her about the engagement. When the whole family headed to London to stay with Charlotte’s aunt while preparing for the official engagement and wedding. I was also shocked when Charlotte’s mother pretty much left everything in the aunt’s hands not really helping Charlotte prepare to go into society before the wedding. Besides Charlotte’s mother not being a very strong character, the rest of family was very interesting. I loved her sisters they were out going and you could feel how much they looked up to and love Charlotte. And Charlotte’s aunt Sophronia is a strong willed older woman, who believes way is the best over every other way or opinion. The relationship between Charlotte and her aunt is quite interesting, Charlotte wants her aunts guidance but in other ways wishes she wouldn’t be so up tight in some of her opinions.

When Charlotte and March’s relationship really starts they both decide that if the try to trust and respect each that love would start to blossom and grow. Even though Charlotte tries to get closer March. March pushes her away, afraid that he will end up treating her badly and bring down her spirits.

Slowly Charlotte and March realize that they love each other and that keeping the other at bay is doing them more harm then good.

The romance between Charlotte and March was sweet and tender. I was quite surprised about how steamy the sexy scenes were because of that.
