Review: Finn’s Redemption – Sierra Summer

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Finn Donovan broke Alli Downing’s heart when she was eighteen.  She fell in love with him and gave him her virginity only to find out he made a bet with his friends about bedding her.  While Finn may have disappeared from their sleepy little town soon after, Alli did everything she could to forget Finn, his family and the betrayal she felt.  Fifteen years later, Finn is back and claiming he intends to make Alli his, while breaking the curse against his family.  While Alli’s willing to help break the curse, she may not be so willing to hand over her heart.

Finn was a man on a mission.  He was called home because he’s sister had fallen sick due to the family curse.  What he really came home for was his woman.  Finn screwed up his relationship with Alli and let high school idiocy get in the way of his life with Alli.  Now older and wiser, he sets out to prove to Alli that she really does mean the world to him.

Alli, for her part, at least listened to what Finn had to say.  She was confused and really wanted to toss him out when she initially saw him, but she couldn’t ignore the feelings she had for Finn either.  She fought with herself, a lot, over what she should do with Finn, but eventually realized that she still loved him, despite what happened and the 15 year separation.

While this was a solid story, I wished we could have had more about exactly what happened between Finn and the witch Claudia (based on his reaction, something more must have happened) and what Finn had to endure while exiled.  I would have thought Alli would have asked more questions, but it seemed that she took whatever information was given to her and moved on.
