Reviewer’s Thoughts:
When Taylor walks in on her husband in a compromising position with her co-worker on her dining room table she does what any other woman would do… she flings her wedding ring at his head and leaves. Used and abused, Taylor has no one she can turn to and nowhere to go. Somehow this damsel in distress ends up finding not one, but two, absolutely gorgeous men who fall helplessly in love with her at first sight within mere hours of walking in on her husband.
To say this was a romance would be giving it too much credit. There wasn’t any romance to it. Girl is upset, girls meets boy, they share a few really hot kisses and one steamy make-out session. After they part ways girl then meets another boy, boy brings girl home and steamy make-out session ensues. Fast forward to next morning… you get the drift. What it lacked in romance though, it made up for in a few steamy hours between the three main characters.
Although I enjoyed reading it, this reader felt the storyline was being rushed. It seems to be a good basis for a longer book if the characters were given the chance to develop a bit. Wick and Driver are definitely hot, so of course we’d love to see more of them and what makes them tick. And Taylor is the type of heroine you want to see persevere and come out on top. It just seems to miss the mark, if just by a small margin. The story feels as if it jumps from point A to point C with only cursory stop at point B.
If you were looking for a quick, steamy read, I would recommend picking it up and giving it a try. You definitely won’t regret it. However, if you were the type to prefer a bit more substance to your characters and storyline, you’d probably want to give it a pass.
