If you can’t beat ’em…seduce
Amanda Jackman’s love life is the stuff dreams are made of…which is fitting, because it’s all in her head. Thanks to six oversized, overbearing brothers who treat her like the family jewel, she’s lived in a padded little box.
Determined to get a life before she needs a padded little cell, she sets out to throw off the yoke and live on her own terms. Except she seriously underestimates the lengths to which her brothers will go to keep her safe and sound.
Cole Engstrom’s life might just be at an end. Cornered by all six of the massive Jackmans—men he normally considers his friends—he learns he’s their choice to marry their sister…or else. Make that first choice, but not the last.
Rather than watch Amanda’s brothers club their way through potential mates, Cole figures it’s best to just play along for a while and buy her some time to find a man of her own. It’s a good plan. Until Amanda figures it out—and decides he’s the one to relieve her of her “sheltered little virgin” status. One seduction at a time…

Reviewer’s Thoughts:
Amanda Jackman is the only daughter, with 6 very large brothers, in the Jackman household. From the time her parents died, her oldest brother Locke (short for Havlocke) has made sure to chase away any boy that has shown an interest in Mandy, not that she was interested in anyone but the elder twins best friend Cole.
Cole Engstrom has made a point of not noticing Amanda, of not noticing her long legs, her blue eyes or her long corn silk hair. He has to, he likes living, and he doesn’t want his best friends to feel like they have to beat him to a pulp. He has tried to think of her like a sister since the time that the Elder twins sort of adopted him into the family.
When Locke decides it’s time for Mandy to get married he informs Cole that he is to be the lucky man, and if he doesn’t then Locke will find some other man to do it. Cole has vowed to never marry after his childhood, wherein he was always the rope in the tug of war between his parents. He however wants to spare Amanda’s feelings from the embarrassment of her brothers searching the town for a husband for her. Cole decides he will “”fake date”” Amanda and bring her in on the plan so she can be part of the revenge. Nothing works out the way Cole planned. Amanda has heard her brother threaten Cole into marrying her and so she is going to make sure she at least loses her virginity to the man she has been in love with for years. The dating is a roller coaster while Cole and Amanda are trying to work out what the other is thinking, what they know and why they are doing what they are.
This book was funny, sexy and at times touching. I liked that the characters had depth and a more down to earth, reality sort of feel to them. It has its share of sexy moments and it is a fun read. I thought that the development of the love story was good, there were times when I thought the drama of some of the plot line was being dragged out longer than necessary but over all it was fun to read and I enjoyed it.
