Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Isabella, a young woman who one had a hard time getting over her shyness, that she starts a reading society for other girls that have a problem with shyness.
Daniel, an earl who expects everyone to do what he wants and follow his direction, without any question.

Isabella and Daniel meet, when Daniel’s sister Gretchen has a upsetting experience with a suitor in Isabella’sΒ  garden. After awhile Isabella and Daniel are thrown together, to protect Gretchen, when she is found with a dead man.

Isabella is instantly drawn to Daniel. Daniel dose want to be drawn to her as he is trying to find a wife, that would do as he saw fit pretty much.

The book was well written, the plot went very smoothly.

The interactions between the character were pretty interesting. I enjoyed how Daniel would do anything to protect Gretchen. I loved the back and forth between Isabella and Daniel, it was witty and at a bit crazy the way the just discarded what the other said or their feelings pretty much. It took Isabella and Daniel almost the entire book to come to terms with their feeling for one another. Though they both admit a sexual attraction to each other.

I felt that the murder was treated a little to lightly. I would have really enjoyed if their was a bit more seriousness to that aspect. But other then that it was a really great read.

I give A little Mischief four cocktails!
