“Lexi Carter works in advertising, loves Starbucks every morning and has vivid fantasies of being a submissive, the problem is the most daring thing she has done to date is move away from home and get a pair of angel wings tattooed on her back. At 39 she has an ex-husband who was completely vanilla, a cheating bastard who didn’t appreciate her more curvaceous figure. When she stumbles into phone sex with a Dom from Hades, the hottest BDSM club in town, she gets her chance to explore her more wild side.

Sam Lincoln architect, part owner of Hades and former Dom has been lusting after Lexi’s curvy form for months. He has adjusted his schedule so he can be at Starbucks when she is and has even tried to get into a conversation with her but has never gotten any farther than getting her phone number. When he sees Lexi in her office, directly across the street, working late he gives her a call and ends up in a hot, steamy phone sex episode. He realizes that he suppressed his Dom side as much as he could with his snooty, country club ex-wife and he wants to let it out again, with Lexi.

Sam invites Lexi to Hades, after a second phone sex encounter, calling himself Master Demon and that she will know him because of the little devil tattooed right over his heart. Lexi is a D/s virgin and Sam doesn’t realize this. When the scene her sets up for her blows up in his face Lexi wants nothing to do with Master Demon. Sam isn’t giving up on Lexi and so he pursues her as Sam trying to show her how perfect they can be together.

I as a reader have a tendency to be wary of novellas, I always worry that the characters wont be developed enough to give you a good story and at 81 pages I was wary going in, I have to tell you I was wrong to worry!

The characters are great, the story is compelling and the sex scenes are often and smokin’ hot! The writers are able to give you enough back story that you feel you know the heart of Lexi and Sam without feeling like the back story takes the whole book. Its the great start to a series and I am waiting for the rest to come out.

This is a great pool read, waiting for an appointment read or a I just need a panty wringer fix read.
