SOMETIMES WHAT YOU COVET IS IMPOSSIBLE TO KEEP.
For werewolf Natalya Stravinsky, the supernatural is nothing extraordinary. What does seem strange is that sheβs stuck in her hometown of South Toms River, New Jersey, the outcast of her pack, selling antiques to finicky magical creatures. Restless and recovering from her split with gorgeous ex-boyfriend, Thorn, Nat finds comfort in an unusual place: her obsessively collected stash of holiday trinkets. But complications pile up faster than her ornaments when Thorn returns homeβand the two discover that the spark between them remains intense.
Before Nat can sort out their relationship, she must face a more immediate and dangerous problem. Her pack is under attack from the savage Long Island werewolvesβand Nat is their first target in a turf war. Toss in a handsome wizard vying for her affection, a therapy group for the anxious and enchanted, and the South Toms River pack leader ready to throw her to the wolves, and itβs enough to give anybody a panic attack. With the stakes as high as the full moon, Nat must summon all of her strength to save her pack and, ultimately, herself

Reviewer’s Thoughts:
I really really wish I had read this before I read Kept! Knowing what I know about what happens to the characters in the second books makes it doubly hard for me not to give anything away. So I’m really trying to keep any spoilers to a minimum. Β Thorn is the man Natalya loves, but for the good of the pack, can’t have. Being so low on the totem pole that she practically didn’t exist even before she was banished, she can’t exactly fight for the man she wants. Even if it seems like he would rather be with her too. As a Type A personality, I have issues with this. If you want him, and he wants you, then what’s stopping you form being together? But of course if their problems were that easy to fix, this would be one very short story. Throw in a rival pack, which has decided to take over the territory, a new very possessive fiancΓ© and a bad case of Christmas ornament hoarding and youβve got one hell of a storyline.
Iβll have to admit that I do have a favorite character and itβs not either of our main characters. I absolutely love Aggie! Sheβs the type of friend every neurotic, self- punishing woman needs in her life. Sheβs there to pick Nat up when sheβs feeling down, bake a comfort cake when needed or tell you to get off your butt and do something about the situation when you need it but want to hear it. And a paranormal self-help group? OMG! I love the very idea of it.
I would definitely recommend reading this to anyone who loves their paranormal beings a shade on the abnormal sideβ¦ well, more abnormal than people who shift into animals or mermaids who walk on water and havenβt being in the ocean in over a decade. And as soon as youβre done with it, be sure to pick up book two, Kept.

Great review. I loved this book as well! I’m looking forward to getting my hands on the second installment π
If you liked this one, you’ll definitely love the book 2! I’m actually hoping the series isn’t done after this. I love her best friend and Will. They deserve a book
