Reviewer’s Thoughts:

I’m all for paranormal stories that veer from the norm. Here we have a ghost story combined with a Native American curse, something that even I have never read before. And that’s saying a lot!

The character of Aria is very refreshing. She has a tragic past that she alludes to for half the book before she finally confesses to Dominic. This tragic past and the way she uses it as a shield makes Aria just broken enough to prevent Aria’s character from being too perfect. With a strong relationship with family and best friends who would brave a demented ghost for her, it’s obvious from the start that she is someone special. Even her co-workers adore her!

Dominic and Drake are like night and day. Two brothers cursed by the actions, or in their case the inaction, of one, one brother good, with a heart of gold, the other brother spine tingling evil. In order to end the curse that has plagued them for generations, they need Aria. If she can survive Drake’s attempts to scare her off and harm her, she is the key to saving Dominic, the man she has grown to love.

The only drawback I could find in the entire book was the over the top lovey dovey-ness. “I miss you, my love” “I love you, my love” “Have fun today, my love”, on and on it went. Although you could see how in love the characters were, it just felt a if the author wanted to make sure the reader really got the picture by over emphasizing it over and over and over again. Awkward speech aside, I found myself greatly enjoying the story and would definitely read more by this author.
