Reviewer’s Thoughts:
Miranda a twenty-nine year old woman, whom did not know what she wanted out of life, having spent so much time looking out for her younger brother and running his household.
Roscoe known as London’s gaming king. Besides that no one really knows much about him. Everyone assumes he is some nobility’s bastard.
After the disappearance of Miranda’s brother, she goes to Roscoe for help. The search turns into a bit of a chase after they found out who took Roderick. Miranda refuses to be left behind and heads out with Roscoe to track down Roderick and his kidnappers. Along the way Miranda and Roscoe attraction grows and grows. Both of them having a hard hiding their feeling for the other.Β
The character development is amazing. The interactions between the characters was very well written. The main characters had lots of depth and a realness about them. As did the secondary characters. I could feel the emotion coming off the page. I felt very drawn into the story, there was defiantly no shortage of description. The plot flowed so well, not a dull moment in The Lady Risks All. Putting down the book to go other things was a bit difficult.Β
The passion between Miranda and Roscoe was strong and undeniable. The sex scenes were steamy and well written.Β
After reading this I am looking forward to reading more books by Stephanie Luarens maybe starting with the ones Roscoe appeared in.

I love her works. I’ve read all of the Bastion Club and at least half of the Cynsters, but i can only take her work in small doses though. she has a great writing style but it can be a bit too descriptive for me. and the books got repetitive after I read like 5 in a row lol. I haven’t read her in a while so I might give this one a try!
Great review!
