Review: Nick at Night – Eileen Ann Brennan

Posted August 3, 2012 by Shannon in Shannon / 0 Comments

When Mia goes home with a handsome, mysterious stranger after her best friend’s wedding, she’s expecting a one-night stand, nothing more. But Nick’s heated caresses and seductive smile manage to wend their way into her heart. Too bad she’s got more pressing matters—like a big promotion she’s been working toward for years.

As for Nick… He’s head over heels after one night with the intoxicating, fun-loving, sexually adventurous Mia, and her sexy tattoo, but his years of corporate raidership have come back to haunt him. He’s stunned to find out that by day Mia is straight-laced Maria, and that his feelings for her—and his dreams for a long, hot future between them—are going to be put to a difficult test.

Mix one woman’s white-hot arousal, and one man’s devilish determination and a scorching tattoo in a most startling place and wait for the fireworks!

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Hmmmm….a corporate raider who like to raid more than just a troubled company?  Say it ain’t so!

It is so.  The only problem comes when Nick, who owns Titan Industries, finds himself falling (after one night) with the perfect woman…who also happens to be an employee of the company he’s about ready to take over.  Needless to say, things get a little dicey.

Nick and Mia were an interesting couple.  They were smoking hot in bed (or the tub, bent over the couch, in the bushes…you get the idea), but both of them had very strong personalities and a definite opinion about what was right and wrong, especially when it came to their work.  While Mia may have been willing to concede to Nick in the bedroom, she wouldn’t do that when it came to her work or his philosophies about taking over her current employer.

As they say, two wrongs don’t make a right, and that’s definitely the case with Nick and Mia.  It’s took time, distance, some reflection (on both their parts) and honesty with each other to work out their issues, but it the end, it made for a satisfying conclusion to the story.
