Sparks fly when legendary actor Bradley Moore stumbles into witty, romantically minded flight attendant Betty Hammond while boarding a flight. Neither expects the immediate, incendiary attraction that flares between them, nor can they resist indulging in some intimate contact while in the air.
But once back on solid ground, reality comes calling. Betty is a flight attendant, Brad is a major movie star. Despite the challenges, Brad finds himself drawn to Bettyβs wicked wit, her unflagging humor, and the fact that sheβs completely unaffected by his celebrity status. Betty canβt resist Bradβs down-to-earth side. And even long after their midair encounter, they find themselves unable to deny an intense mutual passion that reaches beyond the boundaries drawn by Hollywoodβs rules.
As their relationship strengthens, Brad and Betty wonder if their mutual feelings are enough to beat the odds and keep them togetherβor if theyβll ultimately get burned under the glare of Hollywoodβs spotlight.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:
This was an absolute fun story to read. I love Betty Hammond. Her personality is one of a kind. I love how witty and quick minded she is. Seems like her mind races a mile a minute. Very outspoken, humorous, opinionated, bold, clever, and literally a breath of fresh air. She loves to speak her mind and doesn’t back down from a challenge. It’s a curse and a gift.
Sparks really do fly when Betty Hammond meets Bradley Moore while boarding a flight. Bradley Moore, a legendary movie star, is literally smitten with Betty from the very beginning. Their attraction to one another is evident, but Betty Hammond starts to feel inadequate and doesn’t understand how a man like Bradley Moore, who has everything.. who could get anyone, would ever be interested in someone like her. She’s a flight attendant by day, bookworm by night. She loves her privacy and she’s not so sure if they are that compatible because of how different their worlds are.
What was so different about this story from other contemporary novels that I’ve read, is that neither one tried to fight what they were feeling. Bradley starts to fall head over heels for Betty, but wasn’t sure if she could handle being in the media’s eye. He just wanted someone to accept him for the person that he is, not the person they see on tv, magazines, and movies. It’s hard for him to trust people, but he’s willing to try with Betty because he’s never met anyone like her. She doesn’t care about his fame or fortune. She doesn’t care that he’s always in the public eye and that he isn’t “”normal””. All she cares about is how he makes her feel special despite being who he is.
There are many obstacles this couple encounters throughout their time together. It was literally shock upon shock reading what Betty had to go through for love. I really enjoyed this story, I loved the characters, I loved the scenarios, and I loved the writing. I would have given it five cocktails, but I think the author threw in one to many setbacks for my taste. But it was really exciting to see how their story turned out in the end.
