Jordan Cross has returned to Holiday, Montana after eleven long years to clear out her late auntβs house, put it on the market, and figure out what she wants to do with the rest of her life. Soon, she finds herself facing the town that turned its back on her because she was different. Because being labeled a witch in a small town didnβt earn her many friends…especially when it wasn’t a lie.
Matt Cooper has lived in Holiday his whole life. He’s perfectly content being a bachelor alongside his four single brothers in a very small town. After all, the only woman he’d ever loved ran out on him without a goodbye. But now Jordanβs back and just as bewitching as ever. Can they rekindle their romance with a town set against them?

Reviewer’s Thoughts:
βJordan Cross might be a witch, but she wasnβt a pointy-hat-wearing, card carrying member of the green-skinned race.β
Β I loved that line. It gives you a look at the heroine underneath the insecure young woman. This is the same woman who, with a little more self-confidence, will eventually snub her nose at the residents of Holiday, Montana and their hateful attitude. Although, in my opinion, Jordan’s self-confidence seems a long time in coming. Jordan seems more willing to stand up for her new friends than she is to stand up for herself. Which is why I found Halloween so funny. I have to admit to getting a kick out of her dressing up as a βpointy-hat-wearing, card carrying memberβ, minus the green skin, of the witch race for Halloween.Β Thatβs the kind of spunk I expected from a heroine that has a bunch of hunks like the Cooper brothers in her corner.
And Lord what a bunch of hunks they are. Although short on the descriptive details on any of the Cooper brothers other than Matt, each brotherβs personality shines through in every appearance. From the strong silent Jackson to ladies man Tyler; I canβt wait to meet the women who deserve nabbing herself a Cooper.
However, I digress. This is Matt and Jordanβs story. And what a story it is. Itβs the story of first love and how it never really goes away. Fear drove Jordan away and tragedy brought her back. Now itβs up to Matt to remind her how good they were together and try to convince her to stay. I absolutely loved how sweet they were and how Matt rekindled what they had by doing little things. They didnβt just jump into a physical relationship. They became friends again. Went out on dates… held hands… had hot make-out sessions on the couch, like they did as teenagers when they first fell in love. What woman wouldnβt want to be romanced in the sweetest of ways?
The fact of the matter is that it’s all about the spark. Characters either have it or they don’t. In this case, they most definitely do.Β
