Lucy Delacourt’s temp position isn’t quite her dream job but it pays the bills. The highlight of her day is riding the elevator in the mornings with a handsome stranger. Tall, dark, and sexy as hell, Lucy knows he’s way out of her league, but a girl can look, right?

Everything changes the day the stranger seduces her. Completely out of character, she yields without a fight, but she has no idea her wanton acts with a man whose name she doesn’t know will change her life forever. Because the sexy stranger is none other than Jeremiah Hamilton, billionaire CEO of Hamilton Industries, and one tasteΒ isn’t nearly enough to satisfy his need.Β  As the billionaire pulls Lucy deeper into his world of high stakes business deals and ruthless takeovers, he demands nothing less than her complete surrender.Β  But even as enemies seek deadly revenge against him, she’ll discover that her greatest threat is falling for her fiercely guarded boss…and yielding to her own darkest needs.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

With all the 50 Shades, Bared to You type books available today, it’s hard to figure out what’s worth it and what’s not.Β  This was definitely one of those books that I’m on the fence about.

Anything He WantsΒ started out as a 5 part, self pubbed, novella series.Β  All five installments are now available in this packaged volume. Β The story takes us on the journey of temp data entry clerk Lucy Delacourte as she suddenly finds herself the personal assistant to billionaire Jeremiah Hamilton and becomes entrenched in the bizarre goings on in his personal life.

The story takes some weird jumps. Β Lucy’s been eyeing Jeremiah in the elevator everyday and suddenly she finds herself having a very up close and personal meeting with him as they ride alone together to their floor. Β That leads to her moving up in the company to be his personal assistant, which really means she’s at his beck and call to have sex and to jet off to Paris to be his escort for charity events.

I wanted to like the story of Jeremiah and Lucy, but I found Jeremiah to secretive and dominating for my tastes. Β We meet his sketchy mother and brother and can kind of see why he’s the way he is (because he was forced into the role and had to be ruthless), but for a man who must protect all things Lucy, he never talks to her or give her any insight into why he does what he does with her. Β It’s frustrating because it feels like below the surface is a man that I would probably really like if I could only get a little bit more out of him.

And Lucy is just too accommodating to most of Jeremiah’s whims. Β I get that should was in awe of this beautiful man wanting her and throwing money around. Β I’m sure I’d be enticed by that too (if I were single), but she put him ahead of her too many times. Β Great sex should not be an excuse for letting someone order you around the way Lucy did.

Not one of my favorite dominate male reads of the year, but it had it entertaining moments. Β AND…I am stuck wonder what is going to happen with Lucy in the next book (since the series is now going to novel length).
