Jocelyn Butler has been hiding from her past for years. But all her secrets are about to be laid bare…
Four years ago, Jocelyn left her tragic past behind in the States and started over in Scotland, burying her grief, ignoring her demons, and forging ahead without attachments. Her solitary life is working well—until she moves into a new apartment on Dublin Street where she meets a man who shakes her carefully guarded world to its core.
Braden Carmichael is used to getting what he wants, and he’s determined to get Jocelyn into his bed. Knowing how skittish she is about entering a relationship, Braden proposes an arrangement that will satisfy their intense attraction without any strings attached.
But after an intrigued Jocelyn accepts, she realizes that Braden won’t be satisfied with just mind-blowing passion. The stubborn Scotsman is intent on truly knowing her… down to the very soul

Reviewer’s Thoughts:
Okay, WOW! This book was fantastic! I would even go as far as to say that this was one of the best books I have read this year. It contained everything a great romance should have. A clever and well-rounded plot, exquisitely detailed sexual encounters (hello, this book is steamy!), and characters that really touch you.
The two main players in this story are wonderful. There is Jocelyn, a flawed, yet strong willed heroine. She is beautiful, tenacious, and carries around a past that has left her unwilling to trust or open up completely to anyone. Then, there is Braden, a modern day Mr. Darcy and our hero of the story. He is arrogant, witty, overly protective of those close to him, and sexy as can be. And when the two of them find themselves wrapped up in each other, magic happens. No, seriously. Like fireworks should be going off, music playing, and champagne corks popping.
When you throw in the supporting cast of characters, the story becomes even more deep and enjoyable. Their personalities and the way that they interact with the main characters were one of my favorite parts of the book.
Witnessing the growth of Jocelyn in this book was tough for me. Her journey up to the point of meeting Braden was heartbreakingly tragic and riddled with complete sadness. She is constantly battling her feelings throughout the story, which, at times, is a little trying. However, once she began letting Braden in and opening up to him, I found myself building up an overwhelming sense of sheer elation.
If you are a fan of romance, and you love your literary heroes to mimic the likes of some of the classics we all fell in love with, then you will absolutely adore and get lost in this timeless masterpiece of a story. Please, pick it up. You’ll love it!
