Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Lucien Mondragon is a proud alpha. Although at times a little unorthodox, he has earned this title well. Now with Falon by his side, he can do anything. The love he has for her is undying and everything that completes him but still the look of pain across his brother’s face haunts him daily. He knows now his past love was a Slayer, a traitor to his kind, but how could he give up Falon. How can he give her back to his brother when he knows the same pain would await him?

Rafael Vulkasin is the knight in shining armor; a strong alpha with superior intellect and honor. That honor, though, has cost him dearly. He knew his brother was being tricked by the Slayer and did what he had to do but he never thought that would mean having to watch his one love, his everything, bed with his brother to appease the blood law. An eye for an eye was turning out to be more that he could bare but then so was the pain he had caused to his brother taking his love from him.

Falon is anything but normal. An extraordinary mix of the bloodlines she is something rare indeed and far more precious. Now with the blood moon rising and war at their door step she must find a way to bring these brothers together because only the three of them united can defeat the evil that awaits.
Lucien and Rafael are clearly both in love with Falon and the love they bare for her is equal only to the love she bares for both of them; and here lays the problem. How do you convince two alphas, full of pride and stubborn to the core that the only way for this to work is for the three of them to unite; mind, body, and soul? Now the weight of the world will rest upon Fallon but finding the courage could be just beyond her reach.

My heart broke in this book at different moments for each character. Too go through so much pain, so much loss, and to still have the strength to keep going is very admirable indeed. Tabke did an amazing job with these three characters, the emotions, and the building; but she also did an amazing job with the story. I think some would say that a relationship with three is crowded and other authors take it to a level of pure sex; but not Tabke. She made a relationship of three into something of pure love and devotion. I proudly recommend this book and plan to reread it soon.
