Can she love him if she can’t remember him? Molly Anderson returns “home” to a town she doesn’t remember, hoping it will spark a memory. She runs into Trent Williams, an off duty police officer, and something else definitely sparks.

He wants to know why she left town, with her parents, but without a word to anyone. She doesn’t remember that life. She can only tell him she knew her parents briefly before they died . . . or were murdered, she’s not sure. She hopes regaining her memory will help answer that question.

Trent has his own secrets, but they have a mystery to solve. As they work together and Molly meets their old friends, she realizes their relationship went deeper than memories. In fact, she grew up in Ridge City, even though her parents had said they lived there just a few years. How could she have forgotten her lifelong friend and love? Can she love him again if she doesn’t remember him? There’s also the possibility that she did something awful — and maybe that’s why she’s afraid to remember her old life.

Molly knows she wants him now, but the truth might destroy their love

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

It’s rare for me to get so caught up in a book that when it ends, I actually feel incredibly sad that I have to say goodbye to the characters and move on to something else.  That’s what this book did to me.

Molly has no memory of her life prior to the last four years.  Having lost her parents, and with no one else to give her answers, she sets out to try and discover what exactly her past held.  This is when she stumbles upon the sweet and sexy Trent.  Trent is a police officer (hello, uniform!) in a small town in Oregon who remembers Molly.  He grew up with her and has been in love with her for as long as he can remember.  When he finds out that she has no clue who he or any of her old friends are, he tries to help make her remember.

This incredibly sweet story had me absolutely swooning.  I was caught up in Molly’s vulnerability and Trent’s tenderness to the point that I felt like I was a character in the book watching their relationship develop and unfold.  The mystery behind Molly’s memory loss and what transpired kept hold of me from start to finish, taking me on a thrilling ride.

Wonderfully penned with believable and likeable characters that pull at your heartstrings, this story will leave you feeling like you’ve just lived a small portion of your life in small town Oregon with Molly and Trent, and feeling heartbroken that you had say goodbye.
