James Trelawney is not prepared for the vibrant woman who returns to London in the place of the wounded girl he took pity onβ€”or his growing need for her. But forbidden love is not the only danger…a chilling secret reaches out from beyond the grave, threatening both Trelawney and the woman he loves.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

James, is not big on the London season, He prefers to stay in Cornwall.
Aurelia and James meet by chance at a ball. When James asked Aurelia to dance with him. It gives Aurelia hope that she could still be found attractive.Β
After that James heads back to Cornwall, and Aurelia to Bad Ems, to strengthen her leg.
When Aurelia arrives back in London she learns that her sister is engaged to James, it seems that all her hopes are crashing around her. But Aurelia tries to get past her feelings, and to be happy for sister.
Along the way, Aurelia and James become closer. They start working together to find the murder of his cousin. Aurelia feels that by helping James, she is doing what her sister would do. While working together they fall more in love with each other.
I enjoyed all the aspects of the story. The family element was written very well. The plot was amazing. I hope to read more by Pamela Sherwood.
I give Waltz with a Stranger five cocktails.
