Manhattan magazine editor Macie Graham always gets her story—and she’ll do anything to uncover the dirt on famous radio personality Ross Mannon. After he smears her article on his show, nearly costing Macie her job, she devises a plan to masquerade as a modern-day Cinderella and get her revenge on the infuriating Texan.
All Ross wants is a woman with old-fashioned values to be his housekeeper and role model for his troubled teenage daughter. When the perfect woman shows up, Ross is relieved—until he finds himself drawn to his gorgeous, red-stiletto-wearing new employee. “Martha Jane” is opinionated and sexy, and Ross is intrigued…and more than a little turned on.
Macie thought Operation Cinderella was foolproof, but Ross, with his rugged good looks and southern charm, proves to be as perfect behind-the-scenes as he does in public. But when she finally uncovers a secret that could destroy Ross’s reputation, she faces losing her job or losing the fairy-tale ending she didn’t even know she wanted.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:
A fairy tale with a bit of a twist. Macie Graham is a columnist that has become the latest target for a conservative radio personality. Out of anger, and yes revenge, she sets about implementing Operation Cinderella. A complete makeover and new wardrobe later eclectic, feminist Macie Graham is Martha Jane Gray, sweet, southern girl who wants nothing more in live than to cook, clean and take care of her new employer’s daughter. I, for one, could not wait to see what kind of trouble Macie could get herself into and was actually looking forward to counting the many times she was bound to slip up and show her true colors. Alas, I was bound to be disappointed. Macie seemed to fall into the more submissive role of caretaker quite easily. No major slip ups or incidences of almost getting caught.
Instead, Operation Cinderella turned out to be surprisingly sweet and even heartwarming at times. There was no WOW factor though. Everything just seemed to fall in to place nicely for the characters. Even the obvious big reveal at the end seemed to be pretty much conflict free. Did I enjoy the story? I have to admit that I did. It didn’t WOW me, but I did enjoy the read and would recommend it to anyone looking for a sweet, uncomplicated book.
