Reviewer’s Thoughts:

Finally rid of Deirdre and the evil that has plagued them for centuries, the Warriors believe they can start to live somewhat normal lives. Well, as normal a life as Warriors pulled forward in time can have. Unfortunately, their troubles have only just begun. Who is Tara and why is Declan so desperate to find her? Ramsey doesn’t know the answers to these questions, he only knows that he is drawn to Tara like none other and he must do everything in his power to keep her out of Declan’s hands.

I loved that we finally get an insight to one of the more mysterious and tortured Warriors. Ramsey was always the quiet thinker. Here he has a more active role and you see what made this Warrior the man he’s become.  Unlike the other books in the series, I found the romance factor to be on the lacking side. There really wasn’t any of the relationship building that was present in the previous books. Ramsey and Tara seemed to have a connection from the very beginning. There was no questioning or doubting of that connection, no wooing, it just was.

However the action seemed to have multiplied. There was very little idle time in this book, it was non-stop action from the very first chapter, with twists and turns even I didn’t expect. With Deirdre gone, we finally got to see more of the relationship dynamic that makes these Warriors more than brothers in arms, they’re a family. They joke around, they tease each other and they even play matchmaker. It’s a dimension to the Warriors we had not seen before that beings a sort of depth to this book that was not present in the others. I can’t wait to read the next book and see where Grant takes us from here.
