I am everything you desire. I am everything you fear. I am lust and appetite. I am vampire.
I am everything you desire. I am vampire.
Powerful and manipulative, Vasilije does as he pleases. A vampire beholden to no one, he takes what he desires, drinking deeply the pleasures this life has to offer.
When one of his own is staked, Vasilije must travel to New Orleans to exact his revenge. There he meets Sasa, a beautiful woman who arouses him like no other has for centuries. Vasilije’s need for vengeance is equaled only by his passion for her, but what he finds in his revenge is just the beginning…

I am everything forbidden. I am a haunted creature.I am darkness and shadow.I am vampire.

The Sons of Navarus series continues…
I am everything you seek. I am vampire.
Blessed with the gift of telepathy, Terek always knows what a woman wants. His gift has afforded him nightly sensual pleasures and exotic treats for centuries, but beneath the surface he yearns for much more.
Ilona can give him what his soul craves, but only if he trusts his heart. One fateful choice made out of desire puts all he cares for in danger. With a civil war and the threat of Archon hunters at every turn, this Son may lose everything if he can’t find the balance between heart and mind.

Reviewer’s Thoughts:

What can I say other than oh my. I’m always a bit leery when doing a series review because after the first book, you’re pretty much taking your chances, and we all know that very rarely are subsequent books as good as the first. So with that in mind I began my journey into the world of the Sons of Navarus and to say that Bisset captured my attention from the very first chapter in the first book is an understatement.

Visilije is a powerful, centuries old vampire who does as he pleases, when he pleases with no concern for rules. He lives his decadent lifestyle uninterrupted, unless he gets lonely that is. If he wants someone, he turns them into one of his own with no concern of right or wrong. When he gets tired of them, he releases them and moves on. But when one of his own, a favorite gets staked, he aims to find out who did it and exact his revenge… painfully, even if it means getting the help of the human woman he believes to be his vampire’s former girlfriend.

Saint was betrayed by the woman he loved. He’s spent his entire life proving to himself that he was a fool for having trusted another vampire with his heart. When his brother was staked, he lost his last connection, however tenuous, to any real emotion. He’s cold, calculating and not as unemotional as he would have everyone believe when the former object of his affection enters the picture again.

From the outside, Terek lives the charmed life with his harem of female vampires willing to serve his every whim. But look deeper and you see a lonely man. The ability to see into others’ minds have jaded him to true love, until he meets the one woman whose mind he cannot read.

Three very different men, one common enemy.

I absolutely loved the progression from one book to the next. The enemy wasn’t miraculously vanquished in less than 200 pages, they win this battle, but must live and plan for the next, hoping that one will bring them one step closer to beating the enemy. Women come in to the picture for every single one of them, forcing them to keep the women they grow to love safe in the middle of this battle for humanity.

I hadn’t read any of Bisset’s work before and now I’m wondering how I could possibly have missed it. Romance, suspense, action, the Sons of Navarus has it all in spades. I can honestly admit that I was wrong. Ms. Bisset has thrown my preconceived notion that no second book can be as good as the first in a series out the window. Both Blood Betrayed and Blood Spirit more than keep up with Blood Avenged. This fast paced, action packed series is definitely not to be missed and I can’t wait for book 4.
