Reviewer’s Thoughts:
I loved this story! The characters were so engaging and I really enjoyed all of the baseball references. It seemed like it would be a typical romance novel and in a lot of ways, it was. We had a handsome, hunky, misunderstood playboy in Cole and the “”damsel in (SOME) distress”” in Liza. That being said, they were still likable characters—neither was too stereotypical and Liza wasn’t weak & silly like some female characters are portrayed. Readers will identify with Liza and Cole and I appreciated that they were “”regular”” people. Any couple who drinks a few beers and roasts hot dogs on their first date are my kind of people.
This was a “smart” romance and the story had a few twists and turns that surprised me. Now I really want to visit Maryland and see what was described so vividly in the novel! I would love to read more of Tracy March’s work and I’m looking even more forward to baseball season starting. Batter up!
The giveaway is open to US / Canada residents only. The winner will be drawn, at random, on April 13, 2013.
Liza Sutherland isn’t looking for love. Not from a charity-auction date she didn’t even bid on and especially not with Nationals first baseman Cole Collins, the guy she obsessed over as an awkward teenager. She won’t get involved with a notorious player, no matter how attractive Cole is.
Cole Collins is up for contract renegotiation, but after too many late-night parties, he’ll need some positive publicity before he can make the roster. His agent, Frank, pitches Liza as the perfect prop…only Cole didn’t account for Liza no longer being just a teenager with a crush. She’s gorgeous and smart and he’s instantly hooked.
When Frank makes Liza a deal she can’t refuse—a bet she will fall in love with Cole or a cool half mil goes to charity—the game is on. But neither bet on the real feelings that surface. Could a fake fling turn into an official forever?

How long did it take you to write this book?
Hi, May!
Thanks for stopping by. It took me several months to write The Practice Proposal. I really had a wonderful time with Liza and Cole! 🙂
what is the title of your favorite romantic thriller? & one which you penned?
Hi Donna,
I’m happy to see you here! I like so many romantic thrillers, but one of my favorites is Ricochet by Sandra Brown. I love that story! The romantic thriller I wrote is Girl Three, and it’s coming out in print and e-book on April 30th. Happy reading! 🙂
