Reviewer’s Thoughts

Two people, too many secrets between them.

By day he is Zach Montgomery, B movie, action star known the world over for his drinking, carousing and sexual exploits with women. All played out nicely on every supermarket tabloid. But Zach leads a double life. You see, in the cover of darkness he becomes Zane Morgan, expert secret agent. But with his cover blown and his life in danger, Zach must disappear and fast. Unfortunately that is easier said than done when he inadvertently picks up two hitchhikers on his road to a new life and a new identity.

Jenna has a dark secret of her own. Her husband is the well known and impossible to catch Chameleon, an assassin with hundred of deaths to his credit. On the run from her husband, Jenna must figure out how to keep herself and her young son, Sam, safe.

As a mother it was easy to see why Jenna chooses to make the decisions she makes in order to protect her son. Not knowing who to trust, but knowing that eventually her husband will find her and kill her, she has no where to turn for help. So I wasn’t all together surprised to see her at times revert from super mom on a mission to save her son to a red blooded woman who on occasion needs a strong set of shoulders to lean on.

Perini kept the story from lagging by tossing in yet more bad guys after the pair and the added adorableness of five year old Sam as he looked up to Zach as only a child coming face to face with his favorite superhero can. Gunfire, explosions and hand to hand combat is just some of what you will come across while reading this book. Packed with nonstop action and unexpected twists and turns Behind the Lies is one you won’t want to put down.

2 oz Lemon Lime soda
1 lime
1.5 oz vodka
1 raspberry

Pour Flavored Vodka (any flavor)and Lemon lime soda into shaker and well, shake. Pour into large glass over the rocks. Add raspberries and a lime slice or 2. Enjoy
