Taylor Yates never dreamed growing up she would end up happily living with two drop-dead sexy vampires and time-hopping through their thousand years of personal history. Her life is complete…or is it?
When she finds herself at the seige of Jerusalem during the first crusade, Veris doesn’t know her at all and doesn’t want to. Worst of all, he and Brody are total strangers, and Taylor drives a wedge in deep between them by trying to seduce Veris at their first meeting—not something a lady of the day does if she wants to keep her head.
Taylor and Brody must woo Veris using the customs of medieval England, win his heart and his full commitment before Jerusalem falls in four days time—or when they return to their own time, their lives as they know them will be gone…

Reviewer’s Thoughts
Kiss Across Swords delivered everything I expected from a Tracy Cooper-Posey novel and more. This is book 2 of the Kiss Across Time Series. I would definitely recommend reading book 1 of the series before this one.
Brody, Veris, and Taylor have quite an adventure. Veris leaves to attend a conference and does not return home. Taylor and Brody travel through time to find him. I was introduced to and enjoyed reading about the characters in the first book, but I absolutely fell in love with them in this book. Veris and Brody are both described as being super hot. Veris has a prickly personality, and Brody has a personality that is much more calm. This book shows a different side of Brody. He is not just the genial, sexy, superstar rocker. He’s also a military officer, sword slinger, and all around butt kicker. And surprise, surprise Taylor gets in on the action. I thought Taylor was a little whiny and impractical in the first book. However, this is a very independent lady. She goes into the enemy’s camp and stands up for her man, takes a spear in the shoulder for him, and kills for him—all while being pregnant. Her character is so much more interesting and likable in this book. The book allows you to see how Taylor and Veris changed his life and gives a glimpse into why Veris had such a prickly personality. I felt Veris was an arrogant and aloof character, but the author did an excellent job of fleshing out the small details so the reader is able to reflect on Veris’ actions and align them with his past experiences.
The storyline was very well written. The author took pains to situate each scene in history with major events that actually occurred. I am a self-confessed historyphobe, but I loved this book. The history wasn’t overwhelming, and the action keeps you interested . The author also does an excellent job of weaving in spicy hot love scenes between Taylor and Brody, Brody and Veris, Taylor and Veris, and finally Taylor, Veris, and Brody–did I get all the combinations? It was sizzling hot. Taylor loses all of her inhibitions and all of them dress for easy access. You have to love an author that pens erotic love scenes while war is going on, and even when the characters are injured it doesn’t interfere with their love life. Keep a cold cloth handy and a glass of water—you’ll need it.
Needless to say this book was an absolute treasure. As a fan of the old television series Quantum Leap I loved the time travel aspect and definitely loved the steamy sex written as only Tracy Cooper-Posey can. I am impatiently waiting for book 3 which will tell Brody’s story but until then I’m diving back in for a re-read. And yes it’s that good.
