15813126When her father died, Honor Tate inherited the alpha position for a pack of werewolves based in New England. But why her? Honor would have rather just lived a “normal” life, with the occasional run through the woods in her furry suit. Still, Honor was raised to put the welfare of the pack first…and now it’s time to make a formal request that the alpha of the Silverback clan—the pack to which all locals owe fealty—recognize her as alpha of the White Paw. But instead of sending his support, the Silverbacks send Logan Hunter.

Logan Hunter would do anything to protect the Silverbacks—but his devotion comes with a price. For years he has been fighting his alpha instincts and the need for his own pack. But all that changes when Logan is sent on a mission to find out whether the new White Paw alpha really has what it takes to carry on her father’s legacy. Powerful, spirited, and downright gorgeous Honor exceeds his expectations…and leaves him howling for more. Could it be that he’s finally found his alpha mate? Or will old enemies, dueling loyalties, and an appetite for destruction stop him dead in his tracks?

Reviewer’s Thoughts

I really love this series but I found in reading her last couple of releases is that most of the character’s dialog is a run-on and repeat of previously stated issues or problems the characters encounter. I absolutely love the concept of the series and all the wonderful characters but I found myself skipping pages because of dialog being repeated.

I absolutely loved Graham and Missy. I was looking forward to Logan’s story since Big Bad Wolf but I wasn’t able to connect with him or Honor that well. While I love strong female leads, I was disappointed at the end when she deferred to Logan so he could be the alpha. I know she said she never wanted to be alpha but I think all that could have been solved earlier in the book. All in all, it was just an okay story. Something felt missing and I just wasn’t feeling it.

I am a lover of alpha males with dirty mouths, strong heroines putting alpha males in their place, and the Chicago Blackhawks. I'm a proud hockey mom who can often be found at the hockey rink cheering on my favorite forward, with my kindle close by.
