Reviewer’s Thoughts
LOST MELODYΒ is a heartwarming, contemporary romance about a down-to-earth rock star falling in love with the daughter of a rock star legend.Β
Mel Harper has moved to Willowbrook, a small town in rural north Texas, to get away from everything, especially the paparazzi.Β Β She is the daughter of the deceased lead guitarist for the group RavensBlood.Β Β Mel wants a normal life and she has always kept her identity hidden from everyone.Β Β Β Her father died when she was a young girl, but she is still running away from the notoriety of being his daughter.Β Β Mel doesnβt want anything to do with the limelight and even though she is attracted to Hank, she doesnβt want to get involved.Β Β
Hank is the drummer for the group BlackWing, he loves touring with the band and also small town life.Β Β Β Β Willowbrook is Hankβs sanctuary and grounds him because he lives a crazy life.Β Β Hank is a nice, country boy, who happens to be in a famous rock band.Β Β Β Hank stole my heart because he is humble, patient, caring and always honest with Mel.Β Β Β Hank knows Mel is the one for him as soon as he meets her, but she has to work through issues from her past.
Roz Lee has written a touching romance that drew me in from the first page.Β Β Even though the main characters are rich and famous, they are two unpretentious people and easy to connect with.Β Β Β I enjoyed reading about the process of BlackWing recording their record album.Β Β There were some interesting secondary characters including the guys in Hankβs band and the people living in the town of Willlowbrook.Β Β Β Can Mel learn to trust Hank and forget her past?
