Reviewer’s Thoughts
As typical One Night Stand novellas are, Claiming his Cowgirl was short and hot. It does exactly what it was designed to do. The reader gets a short sexy read with a sort of familiar theme to it.
Coerced into using Madame Eveβs services by his sister, Trent finds himself at a dude ranch of all things. Although not expecting much, he is determined to see the blind date through. It is the cowgirl he finds grooming the horses however that really peaks his interest. His plans are thankfully derailed when his date cancels their blind date. It is up to Cassie to break the news to Trent that his date has just stood him up. One thing leads to another and it seems Madame Eve has worked her magic again. Cassie and Trentβs connection is so strong that they are determined to find a way to make a long distance relationship work.
At the risk of sounding like a romance pessimist, the speed with which Cassie and Trent got together started feeling a bit rushed. It was a great story and I would have loved to have a couple of extra chapters to really flesh it out a bit more. The speed with which Trent moved on to a relationship with Cassie just did not paint him in a flattering light. However, the romantic in me had an βawwβ moment and was glad that the characters had what we can assume is a happily ever after.
