Life isn’t about tomorrow ~ Life is about today
After losing her husband to a sudden heart attack, Tess Mathews escapes to Bora Bora to lay her husband and sorrow to rest. What she doesn’t expect is a new beginning.
Tom Clemmins is an A-list actor whose life revolves around work and an onslaught of women. He travels to Bora Bora for a much-needed break. Tom has a few ideas of how he’ll enjoy his vacation, but love isn’t one of them. Until he sees Tess.
Reserving a private shark-feeding excursion to scatter her husband’s ashes into the lagoon, Tess is furious when Mr. Hollywood bribes his way onto the boat, leaving her no other choice but to share the boat ride.
Tess is torn between tremendous guilt and zealous lust when their boat ride turns into a week full of romance and desire neither thought imaginable. Utterly smitten with a woman for the first time in his life, Tom casts his commitment phobia aside and whisks Tess off to Malibu where he introduces her as his “girlfriend” on the red carpet.
As the paparazzi besiege, can Tess survive the media blitz that ensues in order to find her second chance at love?

Reviewer’s Thoughts
Let me start off by saying this is my first Beverly Preston Novel and the first book in the Mathews Family Series. I received this book free for an honest review and that has in no way persuaded my review.
Tess spends a year in mourning following the untimely death of her husband Richard. They were married 25 years and have 3 grown children John, Tracy, and JC. Tess and Richard loved vacationing in Bora Bora, thus Tess decided that she need to spread Richard’s ashes there so he could forever swim with the manta ray.
Tom Clemmins is a HOT, carefree, never gonna get tied down Hollywood heartthrob who just happens to be in Bora Bora with his latest Barbie doll girlfriend. Tom is instantly smitten with Tess and overhears her setting up a private charter boat. Of course Tom doesn’t know the real reason Tess wants a private charter and unbeknownst to Tess he arranges to be on said charter.
Once Tess gets over her initial anger and actually gets to know Tom they decide to spend time together. Tom sends Barbie doll home and he and Tess get down and dirty.
We all know that being rich and famous isn’t an easy life and there are some interesting scenes between Tom, Tess, and even her children, but I was rooting for them all the way.
This is a fun, delightful love story with amazing characters, whom worm they’re way into your heart. There are some insightful moments, painful moments, fun-filled moments, very HOT sexual moments, and some very frustrating moments, but if you love a book that captures your attention right from the start, than this is the book for you.
Reader beware – you will probably need a few tissues and I’m sure you’ll be looking forward to the second book in this series (Shayla’s story) as much as I am.
