Chocolate and a hot cowboy, how could you possibly go wrong? Easy… you can’t.
Rodeo cowboy, Dawson and chocolate shop owner, Sage have a history. A history that Dawson would like to make the beginning of a future with Sage and one she on the other hand would like to pretend never happened.
I am completely at ease reading books in the many different levels of erotic romance. At a time when erotica and sex seems to be the focal point in most romances, it was a pleasant surprise that it was a secondary issue here. Yes the characters had shared a rudely interrupted night of passion five years ago. However, in the present the most they do is kiss and a lot of heavy breathing. The lack of intimate scenes did not detract from the story. If anything in my opinion it would have been detrimental to the character development and the natural progression of the characters feelings from anger to love.
Promise Me, Cowboy was a great read that I would gladly recommend to anyone who loves hot cowboys with big hearts who know what they want and strong willed women who don’t just fall for a roguish smile and a set of six pack abs, but will make him work for the right to call himself her man.
