Respect and Redemption. The two words haunted Shannon Parker, guilt all encompassing. But she wasn’t the only one experiencing shame. David, her husband and Head of Household, held a lion’s share. Their marriage in ruins, they’d tried every traditional method in order to avoid divorce, yet the anger and bitterness remained. Nothing worked until a friend suggested Domestic Discipline. The intense change was amazing as well as fraught with self-doubt, an unveiling of inner fears. As old behaviors returned, both nearly succumbed to the arms of another. On the road to recovery, they realized they had one last chance as regaining their love.
The Endless Journey, an educational get away catering to couples embroiled in a DD relationship, seemed the perfect choice. Unconventional, the all encompassing classes and one-on-one training ripped away their masks, forcing both David and Shannon to face their inner fears. The sessions were powerful, draining and both were left raw from a level of honesty they’d never shared before. This was the beginning to the rest of their lives until a moment of weakness shattered any concept of the future. Hurt and confused, David and Shannon were living through the toughest period of their lives. Secrets from the past finally revealed, could they learn to trust again or would their passion be lost forever?

Reviewer’s Thoughts
Discipline is the third book in the Domestic Discipline series by Cassandre Dayne. This book is best read as part of the series and not as a standalone. This book continues where Decision by Cassandre Dayne left off. I had a very hard time putting this book down. I could not wait to find out what happens to Shannon and David.
The domestic discipline concept that was present in the first two books is present in this book as well. I loved that David stepped up more so in this book than the past two books to give Shannon what she needs. I loved that both David and Shannon both realize to make there marriage work they actually have to spend time together. That seemed to be an issue in the first two book.
Shannon is a very strong character as she was in the first two book but in this book, she is starting to realize that she can rely on David and let him be in charge. It finally occurred to Shannon what was making her so unhappy and I think the change will be good for her and David.
David is much stronger character in this book than the last. He has finally come into himself and embraced his role in his and Shannon’s relationship since they continue to use the domestic discipline concept. I really liked that both David and Shannon continued with therapy to help them save and strengthen their relationship.
The chemistry between David and Shannon is fiery despite their problems. The sex scenes were searing. David and Shannon issues seem to be everywhere but the bedroom. This is one place they don’t have issues.
I enjoyed seeing both Shannon and David face issues from there past that they had not addressed either with each other or themselves. I found this book to be well written. I have high hopes for Shannon and David in the future. Overall this was a great book and the best of the series. I wonder if there is going to be another?
