With historical romances I like the settings . You can tell how good an author is by their research.
I enjoy reading about the different time periods in historical fiction. The customs and traditions, elegant clothing, and architectural style are interesting. Thanks for the great giveaway!
Historical Romance books are the only way we can visit a time that no longer exists – I really enjoy the escape!
I like the history and reading about the fashion as well as the social expectations of the chosen historical era.
the fashion
everything–I am hooked on historical romances, especially Regency!
I’m a history geek and historical romances feed two of my ‘passions’.
I love historical romance because author’s like Shana bring the time period to life and take you away to another time and place. The other reason is it makes me think of my ancestors who came before me and makes me understand the life they lived during good times and bad.
The ironic thing is my husband love history books and historical fiction and it’s amazing how many times that even though the genre of the books we read aren’t the same that many times what we’re reading highlights some of the same issues just in different ways. Needless to say our dinner conversations are very interesting while we discuss the different things we have learned and how often the stories we both read overlap.
The attitudes they have and the way they lived back then.
I like the feeling of being in another place and time and the fact that life seemed simpler back then.
I like learning about the rules society has during different times and seeing how the characters get around them.
I love reading about the different time periods and the happy endings.
Thanks for the chance to win!
I like escaping to different time periods
