Reviewer’s Thoughts
It all starts when Tracy Hartman punches Steele McLairn in the mouth.Β Tracy misunderstands something Steele says in a telephone conversation and she punches him before thinking about the repercussions.Β Β Β Steele is country musicβs hottest superstar and is shooting a music video with Tracy, who is a struggling actress. Β Unfortunately, someone catches it all on video and there is media frenzy when the video goes viral. To get them both away from the mediaβs spotlight, Steele takes Tracy to his isolated cabin.
I liked Steele, his fame hasnβt gone to his head, heβs down to earth and comfortable in his own skin, but heβs working so hard heβs forgotten what itβs like to enjoy life. Β Steele has a bad boy reputation, but heβs a nice guy and always takes Tracyβs feelings into consideration.Β Β Trust doesnβt come easily to Steele, so heβs afraid to share his familyβs secrets with Tracy.
Tracy is trying to make a name for herself as an actress, but she never anticipated her fame would come from hitting someone famous.Β Tracy isnβt the usual Hollywood type, she grew up in Montana and still has small town values and she doesnβt think itβs possible for someone as successful as Steele to be interested in her.Β Itβs not easy for Tracy to trust or share her feelings either, but itβs impossible for Steele and Tracy to have a relationship if neither one of them is willing to open up and talk about themselves.
Randi Alexander writes an entertaining story and there are some sizzling, hot sex scenes between Steele and Tracy.Β Steele and Tracy are easy to like and relate to and I was happy Chase and Reno, the characters from the first book, βChase and Seductionβ were included in this story.Β This is the second book in the series, but each book is a stand-alone.
I love reading about hot, bad boy, country singers and Iβm looking forward to reading βRough Ryder,β the third book in this series.
