What a Wallflower Wants (Bad Boys & Wallflowers #3)
Series Review
I really enjoyed this series. I loved how the author tied these present day novellas into the Regency era Wallflower novels (and even included herself in there as well). I wasn’t sure just how the heroine, Jane Sparks, was going to match up with the very sexy Duke Austen, but Maya Rodale made it work.
Jane was a somewhat typical Regency era wallflower, but the author put a modern day twist on the wallflower story giving us the shy librarian pining away for her lost love when she stumbles upon the unobtainable man who she’ll soon discover she can’t live without. Jane was easy to connect with and someone you wanted to champion. You wanted her to be able to go back to her high school reunion and thumb her nose at everyone. More importantly, we wanted the great Duke Austen to fall for Jane and prove to her just how special she was.
Duke was a guy who was hard not to like. Even when he was incessantly tweeting or checking in on Four Square, there was something geeky and lovable about him…even with all his gadgets. You couldn’t help but like who he was when he was with Jane, but understood his drive to make a success out of his latest business venture. And while it seemed like his business might have been more important than Jane’s, Duke had a way of proving just how important Jane was to him.
I haven’t met a Maya Rodale book that I didn’t like and this novella series is no exception. It has great characters, witty dialogue and a storyline that makes it hard to put these down.

mother’s insistence and it wasn’t long before she was writing her own. Maya is
now the author of multiple Regency historical romances. She lives in New York
City with her darling dog and a rogue of her own.
