This is the fourth book in the Tempting Seals series. I haven’t read the prior books, but I thoroughly enjoyed this one and the others are on my must read list. Lora Leigh knows how to tell a sizzling hot story with suspense and adventure.

Emily Stanton is the daughter of a powerful senator and former Navy Seal. Emily is determined to live a “normal” life despite previously being kidnapped by a drug lord, Diego Fuentes. Emily is smart and adventurous. I immediately connected with her character as she sped through traffic and provoked her bodyguard by going to a strip club. Kell Krieger is a Navy Seal newly assigned to be Emily’s bodyguard. He’s everything a sexy alpha male should be and then some. Kell helped rescue Emily following her kidnapping. He’s stayed away because of wounds from his past. However, a new threat from an old enemy forces Kell to step up and face his demons. Kell is strong but sensitive. He knows how to love Emily without killing the adventurous streak inside her. He’s the white knight that every little girl dreams about but with a bad boy edge.

I found myself sighing loudly several times as I read the book because I really became vested in the characters and their storylines very quickly. Kell and Emily have a white hot attraction that burns the pages. From the moment they come together, it’s a matter of time before the clothes are ripped off and nature takes its course. Combine these steamy hot sex scenes with the suspense of trying to figure out who is the person on the inside that is causing the threat to Emily and you have a pulse-pounding roller coaster ride that will keep you riveted to the pages of this book. There are no slow parts of this story. It’s a quick read that will leave you wanting more. I can’t wait for the next book in the series, and I’m sure you’ll feel the same way.
