Review: Point of No Return – Tiffany Snow

Posted May 11, 2014 by Shannon in Shannon / 0 Comments

19369395Kathleen Turner wasn’t expecting to fall in love when she came to Indianapolis a year ago, much less with two very different men. And not just any men. Brothers.

Blane Kirk, former SEAL turned attorney, is every woman’s dream man. A playboy who changes women as often as he changes his tie, trying to hold on to Blane could only break Kathleen’s heart.

Commitment is a foreign word to Kade Dennon, assassin-for-hire and genius hacker, and safety is non-existent. A future with Kade would surely end in disasterβ€”for both of them.

Past betrayals come to a head and the choice Kathleen makes could sign her death warrant. Everything’s at stake as Blane, Kade, and Kathleen reach the Point of No Return.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Back in 2011, I had a new indie author reach out to me (a fairly new blogger at the time) and ask me to review her debut romantic suspense book.Β  I wasn’t sure what to expect, but by the time I finished reading NO TURNING BACK I was hooked on Kathleen Turner and her oh so hot ex-Navy Seal lawyer boss/boyfriend, Blane Kirk.Β  It’s been a wild ride, with Kathleen getting her ass handed to her on more than one occasion, but one I’m so glad I’ve taken and a set of characters I will sorely miss now that the series is over.

Tiffany Snow doesn’t make us suffer when it comes Kathleen’s decision about which brother (Blane or Kade) she was going to end up with.Β  But that doesn’t mean they get their HEA right away or that there isn’t second guesses and other turmoil that happens.Β  This is Kathleen and the poor woman can never catch a break.Β  But we do get a definitive choice.Β  Is it a choice that everyone will like?Β  Probably not, but it was a choice that in the end was the best one for Kathleen.

Kathleen has grown so much over the course of this series and it’s never been more evident than in PONR.Β  She makes some pretty hard decisions, but she’s more thoughtful, more aware of outcomes and does what’s best for her instead of what others might want her to do.Β  Blane and Kade try to force her hand at times, but she stands her ground with them…which is something she didn’t always do in the past.

Kade and Blane prove what they mean to each other.Β  They could have easily hated each other and tried to poison Kathleen against the other.Β  Despite what happened and the choice Kathleen made, they each knew what they meant to each other.Β Β Β  Things could have gone very badly between the two brother, but they worked to make sure they were always in each others lives.

The secondary storyline loose ends are tied up and I think followers of the series will be happy with the outcomes.Β  The author does a great job of making sure that as the series ends, we aren’t left wondering about minor details or characters.

I’m a little sad now that we’ve gotten to the end of this journey.Β  Kathleen, Blane and Kade have become like family over the past three years and it’s always hard to let family go.Β  But despite the end, Kathleen got the happily ever after that she really deserved.Β  No matter which brother you want Kat to choose, this final installment was the perfect ending to the series.
