Reviewer’s Thoughts

Jeremy Piper is a RN working at a doctor’s office and a screenwriter gaining in popularity. He is also a submissive moving in with his partner and Master Andre Jackson. Jeremy struggles with the demons of his past, and the adjustment of living with his Master full-time. Jeremy has a strong will and is willing to do what he thinks is right no matter what and is willing to take all the repercussions that go along with it.

Andre Jackson is a successful actor who is also gay. Andre has not come out in his career and so very few know about his personal life with Jeremy. Andre struggles to balance being a partner and a Dom to Jeremy. He neglects to listen to Jeremy many times leaving both frustrated when Jeremy does what he thinks is right. Andre also is quick to kick Jeremy out when things go bad. Andre is not the perfect Master and is a very slow learner. If he did not love Jeremy as much as he does, I would not have liked him very much.

The chemistry between Andre and Jeremy is blistering. They are a good match for each other if Andre would listen to Jeremy rather than expect him to just do what he says. The sex scenes were scorching but for some it can go to extremes at times.

Mastered is the second book in the series Shameful Desires by PJ Proud. This book is part of a series and is best read in order to fully understand the characters. I found this book well written with fascinating and appealing characters. I was so drawn into the story that I read this book in one sitting. I had a very hard time putting this book down. I loved this book. While I have not read this author before, I will definitely be looking for more books by this author in the future.
