18513559Mona and Steven thought they were satisfied with their relationship but as they explore the world of BDSM, Steven begins having problems. Mona believes him to still be pining after his ex-girlfriend but Steven knows that his feelings for Mona are real, unlike what he had before.

It takes friends of theirs to force them to face their issues, and not in the way they had thought. Will they be able to adapt or is the relationship doomed? Maybe it will take someone else to show them what they’re missing.

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Mona and Steven are in love with each other. They are looking into the future with each other. They live together and begin to explore the world of BDSM together. This is where both Mona and Steven come into problems. It was apparent right from the beginning that Mona and Steven love each other however, they don’t seem to be able to find the right kink together.

I found it hard to get to know Mona and Steven independently because this book was more focused on the relationship between Mona and Steven than who they were independently. The chemistry between Mona and Steven is blistering. I loved seeing how hard both worked to make their relationship work when many would have walked away. I enjoyed seeing the hard work and open minds both Mona and Steven had when it came to their sex life.

Roy Colton is a mysterious person that seems to be attracted to both Steven and Mona. Roy is bisexual however no one knows about it unless Roy is comfortable about telling them. He is a private person. Roy is also a dominant person who has the ability to help Steven and Mona with their issues in the bedroom. I wish we got to know him more.

Silken Kisses is the third book in the Silken Edge series by Laci Paige. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. I found this book well written with interesting and fascinating characters. My biggest issue with this story was the ending left you hanging. Do Mona and Steven take a third person into their relationship? It did not seem finished. The book ended where I would have put the story about three-fourths of the way through. Overall, this was a great book. I hope we get the answers in the next book in the series.
