Cassie Edwards was raised by her Marine father, Ryan Edwards. He taught her everything he knew about fighting and survival. At age seventeen, she was abducted and held hostage for two days. The man who released her warned her that anyone she told would be killed. At that time, Cassie believed her father was invincible so she told him the truth and that same night he was killed. Blaming herself for his death, she’s protected the people she loves by staying away from them and avoiding relationships of any kind.
Twins, Luc and Logan Ramsey, run Club Mystique, the BDSM club they co-own with their three brothers. They made a pact to remain single until age thirty-two but when they meet Cassie, Logan decides sheβs the woman for them and he pursues her. Luc insists they stick to their plan and he refuses to get involved with her.
When the two tough Doms discover Cassieβs being hunted they move her into their home to keep her safe. Logan intends to keep her forever but he has to first convince Cassie to stay while proving to Luc that she’s the woman who will complete them. Cassie wants them but can she be their temporary sub without endangering them?

Reviewer’s Thoughts
Cassie Edwards is a tough woman. She was raised by her Marine father who could do no wrong in her eyes. Cassie believed that her father could protect her from anything but in one instance that all changed and he died by the very people that kidnapped her. Now Cassie trusts no one and for a very good reason.
Luc Ramsey and Logan Ramsey are twin brothers who run a BDSM club with their three other brothers. The twins are close and want one woman for the both of them. The biggest issue they face is when one likes someone the other does not. When Logan and Luc meet Cassie, Logan falls head over heels for her and Luc is not impressed.
The chemistry between Cassie, Logan and Luc is blistering. My biggest issue with this story was that Logan and Luc forgot that a big part of BDSM is trust. Cassie has to trust them and they did a great job of not inspiring any trust. I will say that if I was Cassie I donβt think I could have given them a second chance like she did.
Their Temporary SubΒ is the third book in The Doms of Club Mystique series by Mardi Maxwell. While this book is part of a series, it can be read and enjoyed as a standalone novel. I found this book to be well written with interesting and engaging characters. Ms. Maxwell does a great job of drawing the reader into the story. I had a very hard time putting this book down. In fact, I read this book in one sitting. Overall, this was a great story. I will be picking up the other books in the series shortly.
