The Virgin of Clan Sinclair is number three in this seriies by Karen Ranney. I have read all three and Iove them all! Ranney has a knack for creating strong female characters–even when it seems contrary to the time period about which she is writing. The virgin in this book is Ellice. While she is a virgin, Ellice is also imaginative and curious about passion and “the ways of love”.

While, Ranney’s female characters are independent, forward-thinking women, the leading men are not overpowered by them. Like MacRath and Logan before him, Ross is a hottie with a body and may be the only man that can handle Ellice. While I find most “love stories” predictable, Ranney has the ability to create more of a story in addition that keeps the reader interested.
