Author of the beloved Half Moon Hollow series of vampire romances (Nice Girls Don’t Have Fangs), Molly Harper has created a standalone paranormal romance in which a dilapidated haunted house could bring star-crossed lovers together—if it doesn’t kill them first!

When Nina Linden is hired to landscape a private island off the New England coast, she sees it as her chance to rebuild her failing business after being cheated by her unscrupulous ex. She never expects that her new client, software mogul Deacon Whitney, would see more in her than just a talented gardener. Reviewer’s Thoughts

Molly Harper does it again, she presented a fun and interesting premise, a haunted mansion, interesting ghosts and the right cast of characters to charm the reader. I really  loved Nina and Deacon together, throw in the rest of the rag tag crew that is there to renovate the mansion, and a family curse and this story hooked me from the very beginning.

Nina has a very real human stalker, but she is also being haunted nightly by dreams of the lady of the house of the once proud island home. She isn’t necessarily looking for love, but Deacon, the billionaire who hired intrigues her, and they have such an easy banter with each other that these two falling in love is very organic and worked beautifully.

I won’t give away how things end, but I was left very satisfied. I also loved the mystery of trying to figure out what really happened in the mansion’s past. It was about what I expected but the details and the way it was handled were done with a very fine attention to detail.

I highly recommend this story, for the mystery, the wit and humor and the love story that left me with a warm and fuzzy feeling.
