Reviewer’s Thoughts

My favourite shifter is the Dragon, and the Dragons in The Dragon’s Heart are no different!  A creature of myth and folklore, I just love how some authors are able to bring them to the forefront and make them larger than life!  Eden Ashe is able to accomplish this easily. This is a new spin on the Dragon shifter and I loved every minute of this book. These very alpha male’s are hot and oh so sexy large warriors that show loyalty, compassion and notably, the hero in this book is very possessive and protective.

Meet Daniel, the Dragon King. Daniel is the broody but sexy masculine alpha male and he carries a lot on his shoulders. Although he is a solitary being and will admit that Dragon’s “do not have friends” we soon find out that is just not the case, it just turns out that he nor any of his Dragon kin will admit to it. He falls for the beautiful Shelby while acting as her body guard.

Shelby is an actress and just a very down to earth beautiful female. When Shelby’s life is threatened, Daniel can’t keep his protective instincts at bay. Shelby and Daniel have an amazing chemistry between the two of them and their relationship is explosive and sweet all at the same time. It just takes Daniel a while to figure this all out and stop fighting his feelings. The sex is hot and there is passion, adventure and suspense at every turn!

The author draws you into this new world and takes you on a ride that just keeps getting more exciting the further into the book you read. Eden Ashe gives great descriptions of the characters, their surroundings and a glimpse at who they really are. What I loved the most about Daniel and Shelby was the way the author makes them really come to life. Our hero and heroine in this book are by far not perfect, they have flaws and issues just like we all do in reality, but in the end the main characters learn to overcome their own issues and move forward and leave their past issues in the past.

I would definitely recommend this book and I am looking forward to reading the next book in this series. I want to read more about these very sexy male dragon warriors! Great start to a new series, keep them coming Ms. Ashe!
