18779669Life Just Threw Her A Curveball.

As the team-owner’s daughter, Maggie Jameson grew up in the New York Saints’ stadium—glove, cap, hot dogs, and all. Baseball’s in her blood, and she’s always dreamed of the day when she would lead the Saints to victory herself. That was before her dad had to sell the team to Alex Winters. The fast-talking, fiercely attractive businessman has a baseball pedigree that’s distinctly minor league. Maggie wants to hate him but his skills of seduction, however, are off the charts.

Will Love Be A Home Run?

Alex could never have imagined how much this team means to Maggie. He needs her to help show the players that they’re still a family…even if he and Maggie are at the verge of exchanging blows. But her fiery determination and gorgeous looks prove irresistible to Alex. And much as he wants to relegate their relationship to the playing field—and get the Saints back in the game—Alex just can’t help himself: What he wants to win most is Maggie’s heart…

Reviewer’s Thoughts

Maggie Jameson is shocked when her father sells the New York Saints Baseball franchise to Alex Winters. Maggie has worked hard for years to learn everything she can about the business. She always assumed when her father retired, she would be the next CEO of the team.

Alex is thrilled to buy the baseball team with his two best friends, because they all love the game of baseball. He’s a successful businessman and has made millions of dollars by taking over businesses and improving them. Maggie is well thought of by all the Saints players and fans and Alex wants her to work for him and handle the PR for the team. Maggie isn’t sure she can work for Alex, because she doesn’t like him or the idea that he now owns the Saints.

Alex is drawn to Maggie from the moment he meets her and he has a hard time fighting it. Maggie tries to keep her distance from Alex. She feels torn, because even though she’s upset he now owns the team, it doesn’t stop the attraction she feels for him.

I love sports romance and that is what drew me to this story. Melanie Scott writes an entertaining story about the world of baseball. At times, I found Maggie annoying because she’s so stubborn and angry about her father selling the team and she takes it out on Alex. Alex is a nice guy and he’s always open and honest with Maggie and to Alex’s credit, patient and kind.
