Successful restaurateur Lucien Black’s blue-green eyes and unattainable attitude drive women wild. But his abandonment issues and criminal past have left him emotionally closed off. When a familiar face shows up for a job interview at his nightclub, the ache he has tried to forget tears at his heart—it’s the girl who once healed him…and then abandoned him.
Darcy MacBride still remembers Lucien’s delicate touch when they were both wildly in love teenagers. His gorgeous eyes had soothed her hurt after she’d been dumped off at the orphanage where Lucien lived. Darcy felt his jagged edges fit perfectly into her own, and she’d planned to spend the rest of her life with him—until a mysterious man warned her away. Now, fourteen years later, she’s ready to endure the torture of Lucien’s indifference and having him as her boss…just to be near him. But when it seems that they might finally take up where they left off, a devastating secret buried in their past threatens to tear them apart again.
L.A. Fiore’s story of smoldering love recaptures the tormented romance of Beautifully Damaged.

Reviewer’s Thoughts
BEAUTIFULLY FORGOTTEN is an intriguing story filled with many different twists and turns to the plot. Lucian Black and Darcy McBride are star-crossed lovers. They meet and fall in love when they are young, but circumstances tear them apart and break their hearts. They have never forgotten each other or the hurt they felt when they separated. Now, fourteen years later, Darcy accepts a job working for Lucian, because after many years of hard work, Lucian has become a very successful businessman. Even though they haven’t seen each for a long time, Lucian and Darcy still feel a sizzling chemistry whenever they are together, but they both feel betrayed and they don’t trust each other. There is a lot going on behind the scenes in this story and it seems everyone has secrets they are afraid to share. All the characters are interconnected and they all have different motivations, so it’s impossible to know who is good or bad until the very end. Lucian and Darcy must learn to trust each other, no matter what others may say or do and that’s not easy, especially after all they have been through. This is the second book in the series and each book is a stand-alone. While I enjoyed this book, there were a few things that bothered me. There are so many different characters involved in this story, I found it challenging trying to remember who everyone is. Also, the story alternates from the time Darcy and Lucian are teenagers to the present day and I found the story constantly changing from past to present distracting. Trace and Ember’s story continues from the first book and while it’s nice to catch up with them, I wish the main focus was kept on Lucian and Darcy. That said, I still found this to be an absorbing story and I was never sure how it would end.
