In darkness, we find danger. In danger, I find Beau.
Ash is a prison guard, she’s tough, she’s strong and she never backs away from a fight. She takes her job seriously, she takes her training seriously, and everything in her life goes as planned.
Until the day he is brought into the prison.
She’ll never forget meeting Beau ‘Krypt’ Dawson for the first time. She’ll never forget his haunted eyes and his numb expression. He’s a member of the Jokers Wrath MC and it is said he killed an innocent family in the middle of a cafe, in cold blood.
Deranged. Crazy. Psychotic.
All those words describe the infamous Krypt, but Ash suspects there’s far more to the quiet man than meets the eye. Secrets are being hidden by the club, information is being kept under wraps. Krypt is silent for a reason.Ash is desperate to know that reason.
Continually fighting, Krypt is transferred to a high security prison. Ash is in charge. She’s always prepared, always alert. Not even her skills will stop the club from ambushing them and taking back Krypt. Only Ash ends up right in the middle of it.
They take her, too.Now she’s stuck with a Motorcycle Club who are tougher than any prisoner she’s ever laid eyes on. And they won’t let her go. She’s too much of a risk. Until the situation can be sorted, they send her and Krypt into the mountains together….alone.
An epic, dangerous love will be built on the foundations of darkness.

Reviewer’s Thoughts
I love Bella Jewel’s MC romances. Β She always gives readers the great bad boy MC guys who are squishy on the inside and can make a woman swoon one minute and want to punch the in the junk next. Β The woman matched up with these bikers are tough and can stand their ground, even when facing some pretty messed up, scary situations. Β PRECARIOUS is no different. Β We have the tough as nails VP, Krypt, facing off with the equally tough yet compassionate prison guard, Ash. Β Theirs is a very unlikely love story.
No one would expect a romance between a prison guard and the inmate she’s sworn to watch and protect. Β But we soon discovers things are not what they seem with inmate Krypt or with Ash’s fellow guards. Β All of that ends up putting Ash is a situation where she needs to rely on the very hot Krypt to keep her safe. Β Being thrown together like they were poses all sorts of issues for the very independent Ash. Β She can admit she’s attracted to Krypt, but she’s afraid she going to lose her independence and the job she loves because of her feelings for the VP. Β Plus, she struggles with the knowledge that someone who she considered a friend was putting in the line of fire with some really bad guys.
Krypt really was a nice guy, but he had his own set of issues that had him not handling things with Ash very well. Β He dominated her when he shouldn’t. Β Kept her in the dark, instead of being truthful. Β And threw his MC lifestyle back in her face when she didn’t give him the answer he wanted. Β But he really did want to build something with Ash and it took almost losing her to figure out what he needed to do.
The author does a lot of world building in this book. Β With so much happening, I sometimes felt like I was missing a vital piece of the puzzle. Β It was still a great read. Β One that was fast paced, with a lot of action, along with a lot of sex. Β I look forward to book two and seeing where this wild ride is going to go next.
