Reviewer’s Thoughts
It’s Christmas! My favorite time of the year. Well, it’s not technically Christmas but in the book world it may as well be. Have you been good little boys and girls this year or will you find yourself On The Naughty List? After reading this bundle I’m hoping for the naughty list myself.
As with most bundles, you will find that not all the stories measure up to each other. With a bundle such as this, that includes so many well known authors, that was not likely to happen. So I set off with a loaded e reader and high expectations. Expectations, mind you that were met at every turn. I do have to admit though that I do have a favorite among them. My personal favorite was Beth Ciorra’s Some Kind of Wonderful. The idea of childhood best friends finally realizing that they were always meant to be together is a favorite theme of mine. The characters were endearing and almost clumsy in their attempts to explore this previously unrealized attraction between them. It was great.
Although the stories were all novellas and therefore pretty short, I found that for the most part all of the characters were full and well rounded. Each story was heartwarming in it’s own way. And each story leaving you wanting more; more pages, more characters, more stories from the authors. One or two of the authors were completely new to me but I have to admit that they won’t be for much longer as I full intend to read more by them. On The Naughty List is the perfect read for a cold winter evening. Snuggle into the couch with a glass of wine and On The Naughty List and I guarantee you’ll be in for one of the best quiet evenings ever.
