This was a shorter read and while I can’t say it was terrible, it wasn’t one of the best books I have read.  I just could not relate to the characters and the pace of the book.  Everything happened way to quickly in terms of the plot for me to feel any kind of connection to the characters at all.

Ryder was portrayed as a very sexy good looking and hot rancher, he wanted Lara the local vet and would go to any length to get her in his bed.  There was some good sex scenes in the book but just not a solid chemistry between the two.  The characters lacked a certain depth that connects you with them.  Everything happened way to fast, and there was little to no build up between the two or the plot.   The twist that the author threw in at the end just didn’t fit the story at all and it lacked a certain build up to it.

If you are looking for a quick read for an afternoon with nothing else to do and want to read a book with some hot sex and action in the sheets then this would be the perfect book. The intimate scenes between the two main characters was hot, steamy and sexy, so really, It wasn’t terrible, but I have read better.
