Reviewer’s Thoughts

Carina Briscoe isn’t a fan of Christmas, which is amazing since her family is known for Christmas and weddings and a superstition that the couples who marry at their resort in December stay married forever. So when her sister, runs away at the altar, her family comes up with the ruse that Carina will marry the best man, James Decker to keep the Mistletoe Effect alive.

I adored this story, yes, they start out with a fake marriage, but they have chemistry that is off the charts, and they decide to enjoy their time together until Christmas, and in bed they’re definitely compatible. They do start to find outside of it they have a lot in common too, also James will do everything to help Carina get what she wants most. He feels like her family pushes her around, so he’s determined to help her stand up for herself. Carina has been insanely attracted to James since he came to work on their resort as the stable manager. These two have some fantastic banter, and even some great fights.

I will definitely be checking out this new to me author again because she made me fall in love with her characters and got me into the Christmas spirit with this book. It’s a sweet, satisfying read, that made me crave a roaring fire and a snowy backdrop to read it with.
