He’s about to make his own luck.
Ten years ago, Beau Dumont made the biggest mistake of his life by letting his high school sweetheart, Devyn Mauvais, slip through his fingers. Now the reformed bad boy will stop at nothing to get her back. Even if it means tricking her into taking a job on his family’s riverboat, The Belle of the Bayou.
When Devyn’s old flame offers her a stint at the boat’s day care center, she sees it as a chance to prove she isnβt just the descendant of Louisiana’s most infamous voodoo queen. Besides, it beats leading ghost tours around New Orleans. Yet when it comes to Beau, Devyn’s all business. She won’t give the sweet-talking playboy another chance to break her heart.
But there’s no escaping temptation in such close quarters, and Beau won’t be satisfied with a few hot nights with the girl he’s always loved. As he strives to make Devyn remember the good times, will his passion and heart be enough to regain her trust?

Reviewer’s Thoughts
Macy Beckett never disappoints.Β Make You Remember is a heady mixture of sugar, spice and everything nice.Β I didnβt read the first book in this series (The Dumont Bachelors).Β I enjoyed this book, and I definitely had no problems reading it as a standalone.
The characters pulled me in very quickly and by the end of the novel I was full vested and rooting for them to be together.Β Devyn Mauvais was down on her luck and still nursing a heart bruised after being left abruptly by her high school sweetheart.Β Beau Dumont is back in town and ready to make amends after leaving Devyn to join the Marines.Β Devyn was so funny I could easily identify with her.Β I loved that she was so down to earth and had no pretense about her.Β I loved that Beau put his heart on the line and went out of his way to make sure that Devyn knew she would be secure with him. Β He left no stone unturned to make up for his past behavior.Β I absolutely adored that about him.Β He wasnβt afraid to make himself vulnerable to give her what she needed.Β I really felt like I was right there with them as they revived their relationship.
The storyline was filled with rich details and Southern charm.Β There was certainly a lot of chemistry between Devyn and Beau.Β There were numerous white hot scenes between the two of them in a variety of places.Β There were plenty of twists and turns that kept me glued to the pages.Β I took the book to work with me so I could finish it.Β I had to make sure they made it through the curse.
I have read books by this author previously, and I felt like this book was one of her best.Β From start to finish you will cry, laugh, and cheer them on to a happy ending.
